Z Video Generator — Privacy Policy

Z Video Generator turns a text prompt into a short video using the Z.AI video API. It collects no personal data, runs no analytics, and tracks nothing. The only thing it ever sends anywhere is your prompt and your own Z.AI key — to Z.AI, over HTTPS, to generate the video you asked for.

No data collected by us

txw (the developer of Z Video Generator) does not collect, transmit to itself, share, or sell any personal data or usage data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking SDKs in the app. The PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false and an empty list of collected data types.

Your Z.AI API key (bring your own)

Z Video Generator has no account of its own. You paste in your own Z.AI API key, and it is stored only in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. The key is sent exclusively to api.z.ai over HTTPS to authenticate the requests you initiate. It is never logged, never bundled in the app, and never sent to txw or any other party. It is your credential — not data we collect.

What gets sent to Z.AI

To generate a video, the app sends the text prompt you wrote and the settings you chose (resolution, aspect ratio, duration, frame rate, motion, and audio) to Z.AI's API over HTTPS. Z.AI processes that request and returns a video file. This is content you create in order to use the feature; it is handled by Z.AI under Z.AI's own terms and privacy practices. txw never sees your prompts.

Generated videos and your library

Finished videos are written to a folder you choose, such as your Downloads. Your prompts, settings, and generation history are stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandboxed container. Nothing in your library leaves your device — other than the single prompt you submit to Z.AI each time you generate.

Network use

Z Video Generator connects only to api.z.ai over HTTPS. It makes no other network connections — no telemetry, no update checks beyond the Mac App Store, no background uploads. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox.

Children

Z Video Generator is not directed at children under 13, and txw does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Third parties

Z.AI is the only third-party service the app talks to. Any data Z.AI receives when fulfilling your generation requests is governed by Z.AI's own privacy policy. The optional in-app "Supporter" purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store infrastructure; txw receives no payment or personal details from it beyond what Apple provides the seller of record.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
